Tariq Rafique

Tariq Rafique is the Non Executive Chairman of the Group. He is the founder of Morningstar Capital a private equity firm focused on principal investments in natural resource and infrastructure assets. Tariq was formerly Managing Director and Head of Securitisation & Asset Finance at Nomura in London. Prior to Nomura, Tariq was Global Head of Asset Securitisation at ABN AMRO. Before joining ABN, Tariq was Managing Director and Head of International Structured Finance at Standard & Poor's in New York.
Tariq is also Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Majid Al Futtaim Properties LLC in Dubai. The company is the largest private sector developer and operator of shopping malls, hotels and master planned communities in the Middle East.
Tariq is a graduate of the Harvard Law School and holds an MBA degree from New York University.
